White Chocolate Party Pretzels

White Chocolate Party Pretzels

White chocolate party pretzels. Doesn’t that sound like fun?!

A simple white chocolate dipped pretzel with sprinkles is a party treat that’s simple and fast to do with the grands.

If you have a party coming up, consider this as a hands on activity to start things off with a bang. The kids can make the pretzels and then have them as their treat after letting them sit and set up for a bit.

Melt the White Chocolate

Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler. Put a little water in the lower pan and turn the heat on low. Place the white chocolate in the top pan and allow the steam to slowly melt the chocolate. This is the easiest way to melt white chocolate. The chocolate also remains melted for a long time as you make the pretzels if you set it out on the table in the double boiler and don’t separate the pans.

Tip: If you don’t have a double boiler, use a smaller saucepan with a little water in it and then place a medium sized glass mixing bowl on top of it. Put the heat on low and let the steam of the water slowly melt the chocolate.

Note: There are instructions on the package for the option of melting in the microwave as well. I usually find that the chocolate gets harder for me that way, dries out more. You are welcome to try the microwave if you wish of course.

Dip the Pretzels

Let the grands dip the pretzels down into the melted chocolate.

Tip: The chocolate is pretty warm when melted so dip the pretzels without sticking fingers down into the chocolate.

Place the white chocolate dipped pretzels out on a cookie or cake pan with sides covered with waxed paper (to catch the extra sprinkles).

Sprinkles!!

Sprinkle to your hearts delight while the white chocolate is soft so the sprinkles stick! Of course the grands loved the sprinkles the best.

Try not to shake the container down into the melted white chocolate as it clogs the holes in top! I know this from experience! Ha!

Let the white chocolate dipped pretzels set while you do other activities so the chocolate hardens.

Tip: If you want the chocolate to set more quickly, place the pan in the freezer for a bit.

Party on a Pretzel!

These white chocolate covered pretzels were a birthday party treat for a grands birthday party. Stay tuned for next week’s post for a few more birthday party ideas!!

Enjoy!

ENJOY!
