Spring is coming, spring is coming!

Spring is coming, I can smell it in the air!

How about a few fun things to do with the grands as the weather gets nicer?

A bouquet of gardening ideas

It's time for us to get outdoors and get ready to garden. Welcome to Nanas has a few fun things to do for that day in the sunshine with this Super Spring Gardening Roundup post.

Did you say French Toast?

Get your day going with a delicious French Toast breakfast or brunch. This is one of my families’ favorites and will get your bunch ready for an adventure filled time! Take your choice of these spring garden themed ideas to do together after the dishes are done. Click here for the recipe.

Planting spring flower seeds

How about starting by planting some flower seeds that will be ready to put out in the garden once the soil is warm enough? This post on Planting Spring Flower Seeds will let you have little plants to set out in a few weeks.

3 easy DIY garden labels

To mark which seeds are planted in each container you can make your choice of these 3 Easy DIY Garden Labels. These markers can be moved outdoors with your plants when they are ready.

Make your own stepping stones

One of my all-time favorite posts on Welcome to Nanas is about making your own Stepping Stone. We have more stepping stones around our home then flowers it seems. The grands will love making a stepping stone for their own gardens at home or to use as a Mother’s Day present.

Hammered flower prints on fabric

There are a few crocus, daffodils and tulips poking their heads out to bring color to the winter landscape. Every aged grand liked picking up a hammer and making Hammered Flower Prints on fabric. This is a cool dye project that makes flower print fabric that can be made into cards or a picture.

Spring coloring page

For a bit of down time don’t forget the wonderful Welcome To Nanas coloring pages like this Spring Color Page. It can remind you of the awesome day you and the grands have had together! Click here to get that free Spring coloring page.

Planting good memories

The best thing about activities like these in the Super Spring Gardening Roundup post is the little visits you can have with the grands as you eat, work and play. What good memories we are growing!

What ideas do you have for spring gardening and the grands?

Enjoy!
