You don’t need much to bring these cute Easter mini baskets to life!
- Free Pattern- Fun Mini Easter Baskets Free Printable Pattern
- Cardstock paper- Use cardstock in any color or design to make your mini Easter baskets.
- Other supplies- Tacky glue, scissors
- Filler- Fill the baskets with Easter grass and candy eggs or small gifts.


Steps by Step Instructions

For basket #1 (small 2-inch by 2-inch size) cut on the outline with 9 inner squares. For basket #2 (small 2-inch by 4-inch size) cut out the rectangle of 12 inner squares. The pattern has markings to make this clear.
Use this pattern to draw around on the cardstock paper of your choice. Cut along the drawn line.
Use the pattern to fold the paper up along the dotted fold lines. Press the creases well then lay the paper out flat again.


For basket #1 or #2 clip the two lines on either end of the paper as shown on the pattern.
For basket #1 or #2. From the flaps made from these cuts, fold the inner one inward. Fold the outer two up over the inner one and glue onto that center flap.
Basket #1 will be a 2x2x2-inch basket. Basket #2 will be a 2x4x2-inch basket.
Fill with Easter grass, candy eggs, or small gifts.

Craft Tips
- Pattern for folding- Place the pattern on top of the cut to shape cardboard. Turn it over and then fuld up on the pattern lines. This will fold the pattern and cardstock at the same time.
- Tacky Glue- Tacky Glue seems to dry faster and make the gluing easier as a result.
- Binder Clips- Use binder clips to hold the ends of the basket of the handle ends in place as the glue dries.


Craft Variations
Want to switch things up? Here are a few ways you can customize and play with this craft.
- Open shaped basket- Instead of folding in the two flaps over the end flap, only fold them in part way. The ends of the basket will make a mountain shaped edge. The top edge of the basket will be slightly larger as a result.
- Change the size- You can measure and draw 3x3” squares and make a 3x3x3-inch basket. Use your math skills and make various basket sizes.
