Easy Personal Pizza Recipe

Published: Sep 26, 2019 · Modified: Jan 6, 2021 by Shelly · This post may contain affiliate links · 1 Comment

What? It's supper time?

Seems like supper time comes so quickly when the grands are home visiting. At those times it is nice to have a recipe in mind that is fast and easy to make, one that they can help with as well. The Easy Personal Pizza Recipe fits those criteria!

Three ingredients that are always in Nanas pantry or fridge are flour tortillas, shredded mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoned tomato paste or sauce.

That’s all the ingredients it takes to make an easy personal pizza recipe.

Rev up the recipe!

But if you want to rev up the recipe, you can have any extra pizza topping available that you want. You can add cooked sausage or hamburger, pepperoni, chopped vegetables like peppers or onions, and other types of cheeses.

Ingredients bar...

I like to set all the ingredient choices out in small bowls and set up a make your own Easy Personal Pizza Recipe bar, then the kids can see what all of their options are for their personal pizzas.

We spray some non-stick spray on a baking sheet (I like the insulated type for this) and each grand sets their tortilla on the baking pan.

Tip: It’s easier to make the individualized pizzas on the cookie sheet rather than to make them on the counter and try to move them onto the baking sheet without spilling the toppings everywhere. I'll save you the trouble of learning this yourself!!

Spread the sauce...

The grands spread some of the sauce on their tortilla. Be sure to have them spread the sauce as close to the edges of the tortilla as possible.

Not so secret tip: The Contadina Italian seasoned tomato sauce is so good. I have not found one I like better. Of course you can mix your own seasonings up and add to tomato sauce too, if you want!

Toppings

Sprinkle the meat and veggies on next. They can choose whatever they would like to use, it’s their own individualized creation!

Cheese!!

Lastly sprinkle the cheese over the top.

Pop it in the oven for grand and me...

Pop them into the oven at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes. Be sure to keep an eye on them so they don’t burn. Once  they are nicely browned they are ready for eating!!

Tip: To make them more crispy I’ve tried baking them on a cooling rack set on top of a cookie sheet. This allows the heat to get underneath the tortilla and crisp it up. You can give it a try and let me know if you like it that way.

Yummy Easy Personal Pizza Recipe!

Of course the fun part is always sitting around the table and eating with the grands.

Enjoy!
