The Welcome To Nana's Summer Sky Free July Coloring Page page features the big sky of summer. You will all really enjoy this fun coloring page with the link found here.

Taking Time to Look Up

In the U.S., summer is known for warmer weather and weeks off from school. Seems this is when a person takes a bit more time to look up and notice how vast the overhead view really is…with the sun in the day and the moon at night.

When I was young I loved to lay on the ground and just look up at the clouds during the day or the stars at night. It seemed like time was of no consequence. It provided space to just think and ponder the big issues and ideas of the day. I don’t know remember what those big issues and ideas were from my 8 or 12 year old self, but the big sky overhead was a great big safe space to use as a backdrop for them.

I think that sounds like something to put on my to-do list for myself today! I’m sure it would be good medicine, especially on a stressful day. What shapes can you find in the clouds, or constellation can you find in the stars?

Taking Time to Listen...

Having kids or grands gives an excuse to do that very thing. What a privilege to lay on a blanket outside, side by side with the special kids in your life, and look up at the big sky of summer.  Perhaps you’ll get to hear about the big issues and ideas of their day.

Summer Sky Free July Coloring Page

The Summer Sky Free July Color Coloring Page may serve to extend that time with them. Bring along a bag with markers, colors or colored pencils and enjoy coloring while outside.  Or use it as an activity when you get back inside and need something to do on a hot, summer July afternoon. Here is the link to the Summer Sky Free July Color Coloring Page for you to copy for your personal use.

Be a good listener, ask a few gentle questions, give them feedback so they know you are truly listening and see what is on their mind. They are amazing.

How About a Silver Lining?

I chose to color my clouds with a silver lining, it helps to look for the silver linings in life!

What do you enjoy about the big summer sky?
