Cute Craft Alert: A Christmas Countdown Calendar
As a child I counted down the days until Christmas, didn’t you? When our uncle sent us our first Advent calendar I was smitten! We could open a little door on the calendar each day and see the number of days left until Christmas.
The Kindness Christmas Countdown Calendar (try saying that three times fast!!) builds on this idea...with a twist!
The kids will take a numbered card down each day with the challenge to do the kind deed written on the back of the card. How perfect is this as you look forward to Christmas?

Craft Tips for Xmas Countdown Cards
- Cardstock paper- Use cardstock paper to print off the cards from the free printable. They don’t leak through as easily when using markers.
- Paper clips- If you don’t have clothes pins you could use paper clips to hang the cards on the ribbon.
Craft Variations
Here are a few variations you’re welcome to try with this calendar for Christmas countdown:
- Colored cardstock paper- To make this activity even easier, print the cards off on colored cardstock paper and skip the coloring.
- Hole punch- Use a hole punch to punch a hole at the top of each card. Tie a ribbon through the holes. Hang the cards on the Christmas tree and take one down each day.
