Hand coloring an ice cream cone on August coloring sheet.

Why I Love This August Coloring Sheet

When I was growing up we loved making home-made ice cream on the back patio. Someone would inevitably say, “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!” I have no idea where that comes from, but we were always ready for ice cream. I still am!

Those fond memories are why I love this August Coloring Sheet so much. Also, the different ice cream treats and lemon slices give such great spaces for bright colors. You could color this sheet over and over and color various flaors of ice creams! This may be my favorite coloring sheet I’ve drawn so far!

You don’t need many supplies to bring this Ice Cream coloring page to life!

  • Free Printable- Print out a copy here: Free Downloadable August Coloring Page.
  • White cardstock paper- I prefer printing coloring pages on white cardstock but you can also use white copy paper.
  • Colored pencils- I love Prismacolor Colored pencils but you can use any colored pencils, markers, or crayons.
  • Pencil sharpener and eraser- For sharpening or erasing your colored pencils.

Welcome to Nana's Free Ice Cream Coloring Sheet

Print off the sheets to color with the grands. What is their favorite flavor of ice cream? What is yours? Color the cones your favorite flavor colors and get creative with sprinkles or whatever you want. Don't worry if you can't decide on a flavor, you can print off as many of these as you'd like!

Finish Your Ice Cream Color Page and Head Out for a Sweet Treat

When you’re done, go for a dip of that favorite ice cream together. If you live at a distance, send copies of the coloring sheet and a few dollars or a gift card for them to go get ice cream. Have them send a picture or FaceTime you while they are eating their ice cream treat.

There’s always a way to connect with those you love. Why not through ice cream!

Here’s that link to the Free Downloadable August Coloring Page once again. It works well to print the page on cardstock paper. Then you can color it with colored pencils, gel pens, use markers, or crayons without concern of it bleeding through.

Ice Cream Cone Coloring Page Variations

Here are a few variations you’re welcome to try with this Ice Cream Coloring Page:

  • Use glitter glue or glitter on the ice cream, the sun, and on the letters (anywhere you would like actually).
  • Glue on buttons, pom-poms, sequins or craft gems to the picture when you are finished coloring it.
  • Try painting the picture with acrylic craft paints or watercolor for a fun change of pace. Be sure to copy on cardstock if you do!
