Cute Craft Alert: Flower Coloring Page
We built our house many years ago out in our pasture where we graze the cattle. It is so peaceful living here, literally pastoral. But my favorite thing about living here is the wildflowers. They are always a surprise and always a gift because I don’t plant or tend them.
They grow and bloom each year all on their own. But interestingly, the wildflowers vary each year depending on the conditions such as rain and cold. So the colors and types are a bit different each season. It is delightful.
I’m wanting to use my 55 plus years of drawing experience to share some of the flower fun with you. I hope my drawing and your coloring bring these floral line drawings to life. Enjoy!

Wild Flower Coloring Sheets
This Wild Flower Coloring Sheet is a drawing of the types of wildflowers that grow in our yard. We live in the midwest so if you have wild flowers in your area, they may be different varieties.
I’m so happy to share the joy of wildflowers with you! Print off the wildflower coloring sheet and enjoy. You can look up these varieties and see what color they are if you want. Here is the link to the Wild Flower Coloring Sheet
I went crazy on the wildflowers and also drew a much more complicated version of them. I'm calling it the Wild Flower Coloring Sheet Detailed. Have fun with it as well! Here is the link to the Wild Flower Coloring Page Detailed. I'm excited and hope you like it.

Tulip Flower Coloring Page
My mother loved tulips. She visited the Netherlands and brought back some bulbs to plant. They were red and white striped and she was so excited each year that they came up and bloomed.
Her only complaint was that the tulips were delicate and often blew apart in the Kansas wind. Mom’s remedy was to pick the tulips as soon as they bloomed, put them in a vase and enjoy them on the kitchen table!
You can enjoy coloring this Tulip Flowers Coloring Page and can color them red and white striped if you like! Here is the link to the Tulip Flower Coloring Page.

Daisy Flowers Coloring Pages
Aren’t daisies such a happy flower? I’ve had daisies around the house for years but they didn’t come up recently. Who knows why, but I need to replant some this spring.
They do well in our windy and hot weather and still look cheerful. There is a lesson we can learn from the daisy.
Print off a daisy flower coloring page and let it’s attitude inspire you to be cheerful too! Here is the link to the Daisy Flowers Coloring Page.

Coloring Page Tips
These tips can help make coloring sheets even easier!
- Cardstock- Print your coloring sheet on white cardstock paper . This helps prevent bleed through especially when using markers.
- Shading- Use one color then layer with another color to make a shading effect on the flowers and leaves. For example color a flower pink, then use a darker pink on top. A third color like a burgundy could go on top as a third color. Enjoy experimenting!
Craft Variations for Flower Coloring Sheets
Want to switch things up? Here are a few ways you can customize and play with your flower coloring pages.
- Decorate- Glue on pom-poms, buttons, sequins and other goodies to dress up your coloring sheet.
- Oil it down- Use a cotton ball dipped in cooking oil to spread oil over the back of the coloring sheet when done coloring. Hang it in the window and it will look like stained glass!
- Card size- Print the coloring sheet at 50% the size. Color and fold in half to be a card. Make your own envelope too, it’s easy with this tutorial.
FAQ About Flower Coloring Pages and Flowers
Daisies and tulips are both easy flowers to draw. Look at my coloring sheets and see if you can draw your own flowers!
Download the free pdf printable from the link in the post. When it is open on your computer select “Print” from the menu at the top of the page. Put the kind of paper you want in the printer (I like cardstock for less bleed through but white copy paper works too). Select the size you want- 100% or 50% for cards. Then print in black ink.
I discovered that the 10 most popular flowers are roses, peonies, tulips, chrysanthemums, carnations, lilies, hydrangeas, sunflowers, ranunculus, and orchids. This gives me ideas for more flower coloring pages to draw for you! What is your favorite flower you would like me to draw? Tell me in the comments!
