What? Company will be here in 30 minutes!!
Have company coming in 30 minutes and want a fast and easy Christmas centerpiece? This EASY Glass Bowl Christmas Centerpiece goes together in minutes, and you can ask the grands to do it on their own. How’s that for awesome?
Start with a glass owl or glass vase that you may have, it can be any size or shape but the one shown is very versatile and showy. It is about 12 inches tall. Even a fish bowl could work though- if it is clean that is! I was fortunate that my daughter offered this vase to me when she was through using it. I’ve seen similar ones available at various craft and decorating stores.

I knew right away that it was something I could use for a centerpiece this Christmas. I figured you would enjoy joining in and making one too!
How to make a Christmas Centerpiece
Find several small decorations that you have on hand that would make a nice grouping. Or if you have more time, purchase small Christmas ornaments, Trees, and such like the ones that I used here. These all came from a discount store.
The two trees I used were the same height, so I used a scissors and wire snips to cut one down in size. In so doing, I cut the top of the tree off and used that for another small tree. Woo-hoo! Then I snipped some of the green branches off the bottom part of the tree to regain the triangle tree shape.
Sticky tack worked well to anchor the two larger trees onto the bottom of the glass bowl. I stuck the last small tree in later.
A small strand of Fairy Lights will add a little sparkle into the arrangement. So, I wound them around and around in the bottom of the glass jar with the control being in the back of the trees. They will be easy to turn on when the guests come. I called them twinkle lights in the video- ha!
The “snow” that I added was fiber fill. I always have this on hand and use it often at Christmas time. It worked fine, but if I had it to do again, I would buy a package of the decorative artificial snow. The fairy lights don’t show as well through the fiberfill as they seem to do in the artificial snow. I took one for the team here!
On top of the snow, I set the Red Truck, the Miniature Deer, and the last small tree.
Use supplies you have on hand
Red trucks are so popular right now. This one is an ornament, but a small toy truck could also work. The small “bonus” tree I made would fit in the back of a toy truck to look like a cut down tree. You could also use a car and tie the tree to the top, that would be cute.
The hardest part of this whole craft was getting my hand down into the top opening of the glass vase and not knocking everything over. It may be easier for the kids to do this with their small hands.
That’s it. I told you it was EASY.
Get creative. Your grouping can have a whole different theme depending on what small decorations you use in your glass jar.
I would love to see what you come up with. Attach a picture!
