Washrag Boo-Boo Bunny for Easter

Published: Apr 17, 2019 · Modified: May 2, 2023 by Shelly · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Isn’t this Washrag Boo-Boo Bunny the cutest thing ever?

It makes a darling addition to an Easter basket. Add an ice cube in the center of the Boo-boo Bunny and it will help soothe a child's boo-boo as an ice pack.

Years and years ago I made some for my kids. I found them when going through my Easter decorations and thought I’d make some for the grands this year- thought you would enjoy them too!

A Washrag Boo-Boo Bunny takes literally minutes to make.

Choose the Washrags

Have fun choosing washrags for your bunnies. These are plain colored washrags, but patterned ones are darling as well. The more plush washrags work better. You will use one washrag for each Washrag Boo-Boo Bunny.

Take the tags off of the washrag (including the manufacturer’s tag on the washrag itself).

Roll 'er Up

From two opposite corners, roll the washrag to the center as tightly as possible.

Bend the rolled washrag in half with the coiled/rolled part out. I place a rubber band around it to keep it tightly rolled.

Bunny Ears and Ribbon Tie

Bend back the two points of the washrag. These will be Washrag Boo-Boo Bunny ears.

Tie a ribbon (in a knot) tightly around the neck of the bunny. Then tie the ribbon into a bow and trim the ends of the ribbon.

It’s as simple as that!

Can you believe it? You can make these bunnies multiply as quickly as, well....bunnies!!

The grands may enjoy making some themselves to give as gifts. They are cute and, if there is a boo-boo, they are better than a bandaid. Place an ice cube in the center of the body section and it can act as an ice pack on a scrape or bump!

Have a Blessed Easter.

Enjoy!
