Rice Krispie Nests

Want to make a fun Easter dessert or tea party treat with a familiar old recipe that is easy and familiar? Fast Rice Krispie Easter Nests Recipe is a just the thing.

Rice Krispie Nests with Cadbury Mini Eggs

These cute Easter Nests hold any type of small egg looking candy- like jellybeans or Whoppers Mini Robin Eggs. But I’ve been wanting to use my favorite Easter candy, Cadbury Mini Eggs. They look so much like little bird eggs that I’ve seen in nests on our farm. I’ve had it in the back of my mind to make little nests for these melt in your mouth chocolate eggs that we can eat.

Original Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

The original Rice Krispie Treats Recipe just can’t be beat for this project. A half recipe made a dozen of these cute Easter candy nests. Make the recipe according to directions. This is a great project to have the kids help make. There are only three ingredients.

Rice Krispie Easter Nests

When the Rice Krispie Treat mixture is made, spray your muffin tins with cooking spray. Fill the tins about half full and then press a dip in the center of the cups with your fingers. This dip is where the eggs will go so make it as deep as possible, pushing the mixture up the sides of the muffin tins. Let them sit until firm.

Tip: Spray your fingers with a bit of cooking spray and the rice mixture won't stick to your fingers as much.

The Fast Easter Rice Krispie Nests pop right out of the muffin tins.

Place them on a plate and then fill with Cadbury Mini Eggs (or small candy eggs of your choice).

Some bunny likes these treats!

I can’t wait to use them on Easter weekend for a tea party with the grands. They are going to love them.

You can use a little frosting in the bottom of the Rice Krispie Easter Nests to hold the eggs in place if you are using them for school treats or need to transport them without losing the candy.

Happy Easter!

I wish you and yours a Happy Easter!
