Scotcharoo Bars

Crispie Rice Scotcharoos is a good recipe for kids learning to cook, with tasty chocolate and peanut butter flavor. Even the name "Scotcharoo Recipe" is fun! Try it!

  • Spray a 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray or coat with butter.
  • Heat sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat until just boiling. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in peanut butter until smooth.
  • Mix in crispy rice cereal quickly.
  • Press mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in the microwave.
  • Spread melted topping over the bars.
  • Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes.
  • Cut into squares and enjoy!
