  • Be sure to use crayons to color your page because the stained glass effect depends on a wax media that will not smear and bleed. 
  • When you are finished coloring, cut the picture out on the outside line. Use a hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the drawing so it may be hung up once finished.
  • Place the drawing face down on a plate or cookie sheet. Pour a bit of cooking oil in a shallow dish. Dip a cotton ball in the oil and gently rub it on the drawing till completely covered. You will immediately see the paper turn more translucent.
    There is no need to keep rubbing once the paper has been touched by the oil. This doesn’t take a lot of oil. Gently dab any excess oil off the drawing with a paper towel.
  • Place a ribbon, string or thread through the hold at the top.
    Tape the drawing up on a window using the thread at the top.
