Equipment

  • Larger plastic container
  • Jar to fit in plastic container
  • Weight (rocks will do)
  • Water bottle

Ingredients

  • Food Coloring
  • Tea lights, Flameless Tea Lights, or glow sticks
  • Balloons

Instructions

  • Incredible Ice Luminary Instructions
  • Set the jar in the center of the plastic container and fill the jar with rocks.
  • Pour colored water into the space between the plastic container and the jar. Do not get water in the jar.
  • Set outside (or in the freezer) to freeze.
  • Warm the luminary for a minute and slip out of the plastic container.
  • Place a tea light or glow stick in the jar for light.

  • Add food coloring to the bottle of water.
  • Blow up a balloon, twist the end (don't tie off) and place the mouth of the balloon over the mouth of the bottle of water.
  • Turn the bottle upside down and allow water into the balloon.
  • Let the excess air out of the balloon and tie off the balloon.
  • Set outside (or in the freezer) to freeze.
  • Slit the balloon and place the ice globe outside for decoration. May set it on top of an electric tea light or glow stick.
