Ingredients

Instructions

  • Use acrylic craft paint to paint the entire frame black if you did not purchase a black frame to begin with! Set the frame aside to dry.
  • Tie eight pieces of white yarn from side to side, vertically, and diagonally on the frame. Tie each piece of yarn on the frame separately and have them cross all in one place. That is the center of the spider web.
  • Cut a piece of white yarn that is about 12 feet long.
Use this yarn to tie the eight yarns together where they cross. Then, begin to weave in a circle around this point. Tie the weaving yarn to the base yarns to create the spider web look.
Continue weaving in larger circles until you get to the frame, then tie off the weaving yarn and clip the end.
  • Paint the Styrofoam ball black with the black paint. Set it aside to dry.
Cut each of the two black pipe cleaners into four pieces for spider legs. Bend each pipe-cleaner leg in half. Stick four legs into each side of the spider’s body (the Styrofoam ball).
Glue on two googly eyes to your spider craft.
  • Slip the cute spider onto the web and bend a couple of legs down to “hold onto” the spider web.

Find a frame at a thrift store. You can use a larger frame if you want.
