Fourth of July Old Glory Red White Blue Cake
Put a flag on your picnic table with this Old Glory Red, White & Blue Cake. Let the "grands" help decorate the cake while learning a little bit about the history of the American flag!
Ingredients
- Cake mix in the flavor of your choice can make from scratch if desired
- Eggs oil, water, etc. as required by the cake mix
- 1 container of whipped topping
- Strawberries fresh
- Blue berries fresh
- Colored thread
- Picture of an American flag or a small flag
Instructions
- Prepare and bake the cake in a 9x13 pan as directed on the cake mix.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Wash the strawberries and cut into slices.
- Wash the blueberries.
- Frost the cake with whipped topping.
- Lay the blueberries out in the “stars” area of the cake.
- Place the strawberries on the cake in rows for “stripes”.
- Grab a plate, serve up and celebrate!
