Instructions

  • Wash the fruit and then prepare it- taking out stem, seeds, pits, peels (depending on the type of fruit you choose to use).
  • Chop the fruit into pieces.
  • Place the water and fruit in a saucepan and put the pan on the stove.
  • Simmer covered for 10 minutes or so then take off the lid.
  • Add the sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon to taste, continue to cook and stir till fruit is soft and mashed.
  • Let the mixture cool down.
  • Place the fruit mixture into a blender and puree till smooth.
  • Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone sheet and pour the mixture onto the sheet. (May use a dehydrator if you have one- follow the instructions for the device.). Let spread out but leave ⅛-1/4 inch thick.
  • Place in a 200 degree oven for 2-3 hours. Take out when just sticky or tacky to the touch.
  • Cut into strips and roll up. Wrap in plastic wrap if desired for individual rolls, or place in airtight container. When refrigerated can last for 3-6 months.
