Equipment
- 1 Paring knife
- 2 Heart Shaped Cookie Cutters
- 1 Stapler
- 1 Hole Punch(optional)
Ingredients
- 1 package Brown Paper Lunch Bags
- 1 Potato- medium to large
- 1 set Craft Paints (red, white, pink)
- 1 Old toothbrush (optional)
- 1 Black Permanent Marker
- Ribbon or cord (optional)
- Candy and filler items
Instructions
- Cut potato in half. Push heart cookie cutter into cut surface and cut some potato off around cookie cutter. Pull off cookie cutter. Leaves a heart shape for stamping.
- Place paint on a foam plate and spread out a bit for stamping.
- Dry off potato with paper towel. Dip in paint and stamp on the paper bag. Clean the potato if changing paint colors.
- Use heart shaped cookie cutters to dip in paint and use as stamps. Stamp on the bag, overlap hearts.
- Spatter paint over the stamped hearts by dipping an old toothbrush into paint and "flicking" it onto the surface of the paper bag. (this is optional)
- After the paint is dry, write your Valentine's Day message on the bag with black permanent marker.
- Add candy and other fillers into the bag. Turn over the top and staple. OR you can make two punched holes and tie the bag shut with a ribbon or cord.
