Yummy Caramel Apple Slices on a Stick
If homemade caramel apples are too big & messy, how about cutting the apples up into pieces and making yummy caramel apple slices on a stick?
Equipment
- Mixing bowl- to melt caramel in microwave
- Cookie Sheet
- Paring knife and cutting board
- Popsicle Craft Sticks or Lollipop Sticks
- Parchment paper
Ingredients
- Apples (tart/crisp variety work well)
- 2 bags Caramels (unwrapped)
- 1 pkg Chocolate Chips (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Peanuts (optional)
Instructions
- Cut apple in half, take out seeds, cut into slices about ¾ inch thick.
- Make a small cut in the bottom of the apple slice and insert craft stick.
- Melt the caramels according to package directions. Check often and stir.
- Dip apple slices into the caramel and set on parchment lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate.
- Optional- Melt chocolate chips and drizzle on caramel apple, sprinkle with chopped nuts and/or sprinkles. Be creative and have fun! YUM
