Trick or Treat idea #1 Boo Bubbles Monster

  • Trick or Treat idea #1 Boo Bubbles monster!
I could only find these very small bubble containers in my small-town shopping options. But I think this monstrous idea would be especially cute on the larger individual bubble containers that are about 4 inches tall.
Measure the height of the container where the “label” would go that you are going to add.
Cut colored paper to that height and then long enough to encircle the container with an extra ½-1 inch to be able to glue the paper on.
Lay the paper flat and draw a monster face with a permanent black marker. You can see a few of the faces I drew on these projects for ideas.
I used hot glue to glue on this label, but I recommend using glue sticks or regular glue. It’s just too easy to burn fingers on hot glue when wrapping a label!

Trick or Treat idea #2 TP tube treat holder monster!

  • Start by painting the TP tube a monster color of your choice with acrylic paints. I used a purple paint for mine. Then let the paint dry before going on to the next step.
Take the tube and squeeze one end together making creases on either side of the end of the tube.  Then tuck the two flatter sides down into the tube. They fold in and stay there quite well! This will be the bottom of the TP tube monster. Look at the picture to see what I mean if this description is confusing.
Fill the tube with candy and then squeeze and tuck the other end shut. Mine held three pieces of candy and could have held one more (depending on the size of the candy of course).
Use hot glue gun to add a googly eye or two or three!
Tip: I dipped the end of a pencil eraser onto my glue stick to make it sticky. Then I touched the eraser to the googly eye and picked it up. This allowed me to place the googly eye into the hot glue without any chance of burning my fingers on the hot glue! Worked like a charm.
The final touch was making a monster mouth with a permanent marker.

Trick or Treat idea #3 Pencil monster!

  • Hot glue a pom-pom onto the eraser end of a pencil (or glue two or three or four!).
Then glue a googly eye or two onto the pom-pom
Boom That’s all there is to it! Your Pencil monster is finished.
Note: You could also glue on small pieces of felt or beads to make your monsters unique or funky. Use your imagination!!

Trick or Treat idea #4 Monster sucker holder!

  • Use Colored paper or card stock and cut it in a shape of your choice. I just made a rectangle shape to start.
I cut a zig-zag pattern onto one edge to be “hair” and then added a monster face with a permanent marker.
Using a hole punch, punch two holes vertically on one side of the monster. This is where the sucker will go.
Push the sucker stick down into the higher hole and up through the lower hole. You will need to add a piece of tape over the sucker stick on the back of the monster, so it doesn’t fall out.
This monster is just a piece of paper so you could add a message on it for your neighbors and kids. Wish them Happy Halloween or invite them to a Halloween party if you want. Print the messages off and then cut the monsters out and add the suckers.

Notes

The Monster sucker holder could also hold the Monster pencil if you want. You may need to make larger slits in the paper to allow the pencil to go through, but it works!! That makes it a monster holding a monster- double fun!
